I’m not sure what to make of Rafael Nadal’s meticulous placement of his water bottle. He’s either goofing off or we are getting a peek at the meticulousness that powers his greatness.

I’m not sure that this is universal: David Bowie talking about authenticity in your creative process. One of the tricks of listening to other people give advice is knowing when it fits you and when it doesn’t. There’s certainly a creative drive in some people that needs to be adhered to. But I also know very creative people who can be very strategic about who their audience is. For them, Bowie is wrong.

In honor of the new Top Gun movie, here are two videos of pilots doing high g-force training: one and two.
We saw the movie in a drive-in over the weekend and I loved it. It’s entertaining.

I’m often advising people, especially coaches, to niche your marketing down. You want a powerful message first. I am, however, not very good at following my own advice. But if you need a pep talk to have the courage to brand yourself or your company, listen to Jeff Bezos saying that he never had any hint that Amazon would be anything other than books.

I’ve shared before that you can store half of an avocado in a jar of water. That has worked for me, but recently I stored a quarter and it went very bad. Along those lines, here’s another avocado hack that may or may not work perfectly for you: the fastest way to get avocados into guacamole.
